How To Improve Yourself During This Self Lockdown Isolation

2020 has been the year of staying and reflecting on yourself. As a lot of people spend most of their time at home, now could be a great time to form some reflection on your thoughts and experiences. Though a lot of people have spent their time catching up on tv shows and movies, one should not waste this opportunity to work on themselves. Below are some ways to improve upon oneself and discover a new you.

Develop or Learn A New Skill
As we adjust to the social distancing required to stay safe, you should spend this time developing a useful skill through an online personality development course. Maybe try some coding, web development, a stock broking seminar but don’t waste these crucial hours and take a personality development course.

Try Some Creative Therapy
How about you try some painting or drawing to keep your mind occupied. There are plenty of online art classes with expert artists over the laptop, work on that personal vegetable garden or just note down your thoughts in a journal. Creativity is a great stress buster and everyone should take advantage of it.

Pick Up A Book
Take some time off from those zoom calls or constant whatsapp messages and put your device down. Get yourself a book to read whether it is fiction or nonfiction. It will not only help with the strain on your eyes but also help you improve your vocabulary and will definitely help you pass the time effectively.

Learn A New Language
Since most of us are unable to travel for holidays during the constant lockdowns, why not work on learning a new language. So when we are able to freely visit other countries, you can actually communicate with a local rather than depend on a guide or google translate. Even if it is a few words from different languages, that will certainly be better than thinking about which movie to watch next.

Connect With That Forgotten One
Even though we are suggesting reducing your screen time during this quarantine period, one can always use this time to all those family members or friends that have been forgotten. The reasons could be from a past disagreement or even just a lost connection, now would be a great time to just pick up the phone and ask how the person is doing.

There are plenty of online resources like a personality development app or website to help people learn and develop during this lockdown.  Josh Skills is one such app helping people work on their english or even take a computer coding course. So don’t let these precious minutes of your life just flow away and work on yourself during these testing times.
